Who We Are
Fundación para el Futuro de la Salud of Puerto Rico (FFS) is a Puerto Rico–based nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening the healthcare system through the attraction, training, and retention of physicians and other healthcare professionals.
Our work is grounded in a clear conviction: human talent is the fundamental pillar of an accessible, sustainable, and people-centered healthcare system.

Executive Director
Edna Y. Marín Ramos is a distinguished healthcare executive with more than 20 years of experience in compliance, privacy, and healthcare program administration. She has held key leadership roles in both the private and public sectors, including serving as Executive Director of Puerto Rico’s Medicaid Program and the Puerto Rico Health Insurance Administration (ASES). In 2024, she assumed the role of Executive Director of Fundación para el Futuro de la Salud, leading efforts to strengthen Puerto Rico’s healthcare ecosystem and retain medical talent on the island.
